How to take part

  1. Make sure your school, nursery or college is registered for the National Education Nature Park programme
  2. Head outside and take part in the Hidden Nature Challenge between 14-20 October 2024

What is the Hidden Nature Challenge?

The Hidden Nature Challenge is a 20-minute activity from the National Education Nature Park programme that gets children and young people outside and exploring their outdoor spaces.

It’s a great way to get started on your Nature Park journey or kick off a new year of the programme in your school, nursery or college.

Go outside, follow the prompts, and upload your discoveries to see them on a map alongside everyone else’s findings across the country!

Take the challenge

Have your images displayed at RHS gardens or the Natural History Museum

In the Hidden Nature Challenge activity, children and young people can take photos of their findings. Throughout this year, a selection of images will be chosen to be displayed in RHS Gardens and the Natural History Museum in London for our visitors to see during summer 2025. We’ll be in touch if your images are chosen to go on display!
