Bloom or doom: the seedling game
This is a fun and active game to reinforce learners' understanding of seeds and germination. It requires some resources but it is popular with young people and can be used again and again. Learners will discuss the importance of seeds and plants and engage in active play, discovering the conditions needed for seed germination and growth.

Preparation
You will need
- 4/5 germination cards
- 1 x large Germination Cards A4
- 5 x sets of ribbons of different colours (at least one ribbon per child). Each set should be the theme of the germination cards: water (blue), sunshine (yellow), air (white), warmth (orange/red), soil (brown)
- 1 chicken hat / bird mask
- an open space
