Environmental information rights
Young people explore and exercise their right to access environmental information. They'll learn there are specific laws - Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) - which enable everyone to request information. Learners make a request for information to better understand their school or local environment. Once received, they'll consider how they can use this information, particularly in relation to their Nature Park work.
This activity is produced in collaboration with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
