Forest bathing
Be at one with the forest! Forest bathing is an activity with no activities. It’s not exercise or walking or investigating. It is simply spending time in and with nature, and using all our senses. It doesn't have to be in a forest, a park, natural area or other greenspace is fine.
This activity can support a range of curriculum areas. Literacy skills can be developed through using language to describe feelings and experiences. Observing habitats and creatures and learning how they require each other to exist helps learning in science.
