Begin by posing the following questions:
- Does climate change mitigation always require full international cooperation?
- Should all countries have the same goals in their climate policy?
Students can work in groups to evaluate the case studies and discuss what information they provide that informs the questions above.
Ensure that students are given the opportunity to reflect on how what they are learning makes them feel. Encourage them to recognise how they can have a role in influencing policy decision making at different levels, particularly locally, now and in the future.
