Want to get started with your Nature Park journey and not sure how? Book a free Nature Park workshop at your local RHS garden!

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is one of the organisations behind the National Education Nature Park. To help you get started with the Nature Park programme in your school, they are running free workshops at RHS gardens across the country, helping you and your pupils to develop skills and knowledge to transform your outdoor space for people and the planet.

Experienced RHS education officers will lead practical, hands-on sessions and introduce key Nature Park concepts in both primary and secondary workshops. Pupils will develop their connection to nature and come away feeling empowered to create spaces for wildlife in their school grounds.

Primary workshop

Explore an RHS Garden to experience different habitats and learn about the diverse species that interact within them. Pupils will develop the confidence and knowledge needed to create and improve green spaces at school and explore ways to observe, record, monitor and increase biodiversity. The workshop will inspire pupils to continue their Nature Park journey at school and will include planting something to take back to their school grounds.

Secondary workshop

Discover positive, measurable actions and ideas for your Nature Park in this exciting workshop. Through hands-on activities at an RHS Garden, pupils will develop a greater connection to nature and improve their knowledge to support biodiversity, improve habitats and create greener school grounds. The workshop will inspire pupils to continue their Nature Park journey at school and will include planting something to take back to their school.
